Your own portrait

Maybe you have been dreaming for years about having your own portrait drawn or painted. Bart Mertens is a expert in faithfully representing your features, but also fabrics, interiors, landscapes and architecture. Perhaps you want to be portrayed in your living room, with your favourite pet, or on that special location that brings back so many happy memories. Do you want a portrait of your own, or with your partner or your children, or maybe you fancy a family portrait?

Everything is possible and you won't have to sit still modelling for days on end. Bart Mertens will come over to your place to make a few preparatory sketches and take some pictures. Based on these sketches and pictures, you yourself can decide how your painting or drawing should look. We can even make a portrait of a deceased member of the family on condition that there are enough quality pictures available.
